Miniature Delights

Submitted by jspringett on 10 May, 2007 - 12:36.

These amazing miniatures have been created by Kaye Smith from Newcastle, N.S.W. She was originally a Ticket Writer and then a Calligrapher (teaching Calligraphy at TAFE).  Since early retirement due to RSI of the hand, Kaye has been busy with her miniature pieces, as these photos show.  As well as beautiful embroidery, Kaye is 'into' making miniature Dioramas of various scenes.  These scenes are created by making some furniture, (by hand) buying some items and creating other items out of Fymo such as the food that the fruit seller is selling!  Quite amazing and so clever. I am sure you will agree.
