Task: People who leads a life unusual to most of us, to write a blog in our Guest Blog in the Special interests Group. Expect a blog a week for a few months. We'd like people who are doing something interesting that we can follow.

Conditions: We would like this SIG to change every now and then as we bring in a new blogger (For example, a nun in Senegal, cattle station housewife, policeman in an interesting district, wild animal carer, a Muslim teacher, or whatever).

Position: Course writer - Growing food at home

Status: Volunteer

Location: Anywhere

Task: To draft a course that will help seniors to create useful supplementary food sources in their own gardens. Have a look at our Lyceum to see the style we are seeking. If you can simply write the content we can dress it up for on line use.

Position: Technical Developer (Assistant)

Status: Volunteer

Location: Preferably, but not essentially Victoria based

Task: To assist with our Drupal site management system, and general development matters

Conditions: We have a senior volunteer developer to provide basic introduction to the site. Task by task support requests such as odd bits of code reppair/improvement and more.

Position: Seniors Financial Advisor
Status: Volunteer.
Location: Anywhere.
Task: To assist people with first level financial advice, via email enquiry and response. We have a pensions advisory, but would also value the support of a (retired?) financial expert to offer ethical advice to our fellow seniors. We could perhaps develop an on line investment club etc.

Conditions: Would need to be licensed. Initially expect only a couple of such enquiries a week.

Position : Course Writer - Land Environmental
Status: Volunteer with co - copyright any course developed

Location: Anywhere
Task: To develop an on line, land environmental course for our Greypath Lyceum, for use by interested seniors who may wish to become such volunteers.

Conditions: We can provide nearly all of the data to build the course, and the finished product will be joint copyright with the developer.

Position: E-book writers

Status: Volunteer with co ownership of any product developed

Location: Anywhere

Task: To write e-books of interest to seniors. (We can give advice as we have written two ourselves so far)

Status: Volunteer

Task: Take over form Jenny Springett who is retiring. See our Arts and Craft SIG to get a feel for it..

Conditions: Perhaps a posting a week or at least two a month.

Position: Creative Writing Course Editor

Status: Volunteer

Location: Anywhere

Task: Take over from one of our four existing editors. We have a model briefing for any new editor To help those who are trying some creative writing for the first time. Maybe one student a week at most. Three simple assignments to be assessed.
