Elder Abuse

Elder Abuse is a complex and many faceted major problem in our society, and one whose incidence is still being assessed. It is being belatedly tackled, and sadly, it seems that it may well rival the incidence of child abuse.
We had a lot to do with the establishment of the Elder Abuse Prevention Association, [EAPA] which is now about to hold its 4th Annual three day seminar in Melbourne [1st to the 3rd of October]. I'm giving a short speech at the EAPA symposium, and one of the many things I will be mentioning, that I think we should do, is to establish a national greycare army of volunteers who will call on all aged people, and get past the family etc, to ensure they can be'ticked off' the list, as not abused...
