Is greypower rising or is it ephemera?

Is greypower on the warpath over fair pensions, or is it ephemera? I think that achieving useful outcomes from this courageous demonstration will require sustained effort, and that will only come about with some sort of independent and noisy national leadership.

There is some debate over the modesty etc of such demonstrations, but it seems that, sadly, in todays political and commercial life, the only doors that get oiled are the squeaky ones.

Those women were quite courageous in trying to get their point across. It would not have been easy for women of that era to remove their tops. Modest - well perhaps not, but I for one would not judge them.
As for the pension, the most needy are those who do not own their homes and are on a single pension with no other income! John Howard was in for twelve years and did not raise the pension by any great degree.  Kevin Rudd has just come into Government and needs to be given a "fair go".
Many have had it much harder than this, so be patient for a little longer and hang in there.  I am sure in the future it will be worthwhile
